KINSTON, N.C., USA (September 1, 2005) — Engineers at Farval Lubrication Systems (a Bijur Delimon International brand) have substantially redesigned the company's FL Series of positive displacement lubrication injectors to achieve 400,000 lubrication cycles without leaking or failing.
This notable cycle life extension, about four times longer than comparable units currently in use throughout many industries, was confirmed both by laboratory studies and beta testing in the field. FL Series Injectors for grease and oil are widely used for automated lubrication in heavy equipment and machinery in packaging, processing, mobile construction, mining and many other industries.
According to John Short, head of North American Operations for Farval, "The bottom line for our customers is that they can expect better long term lubrication system performance with associated improvements in machine up-time. In many cases they will be able to extend maintenance intervals while substantially reducing the cost of acquiring and maintaining positive displacement injectors."
The new FL Series injectors rely on the most advanced system to date for delivering a precise discharge of grease or oil. Among the most important modifications are new indicator pin, seal, poppet piston, poppet seal and spring designs. The improved, rugged injectors are manufactured of stainless steel or carbon steel with zinc surface protection and standard double Viton® seals.
FL Series injectors can be mounted in any position, providing wide latitude for precision adjustment to deliver discharge rates carefully matched to the lubrication requirements. FL Series injectors operate under high pressure up to 3500 PSI and perform well in extreme temperature environments up to 350°F (176°C).
Within the FL Series of single and manifold grease and oil lubrication injectors, there is a form, function, and fit replacement available for every major brand. Farval also has a rebuild program where existing FL-1 and FL-11 injectors can be rebuilt to the new design standards and provided with a one-year warranty.
